People naturally like to put their feet up. Feet outstretched, one foot nestling on top of the other is an intrinsically human thing to do. And we all know that the best way to do that is in bare feet. Some see a "message" in this position. I suppose there is body language in everything we do. The only messages I get are "I'm relaxing", "My feet are enjoying the air", etc. Some worry about giving offense. The way I look at that is that there are just too many people in the world who get offended by essentially random things (me included). Life is too short to live in the sum of all fears. If you are not directly in someone else's personal space ... you should feel free to take a load off, kick up your heels. Put your feet up.
